Thunder Guard is a community group comprised of a wide variety of members brought together by their interest in participating in and watching medieval combat activities. Our group is part of the Belegarth Medieval Combat Society.

Belegarth Medieval Combat is a relatively safe, inexpensive and exciting full-contact medieval combat sport that is rapidly gaining popularity across Canada and the United States. Participants engage one another in a variety of team and solo battles, using a variety of weapons including spears, swords, shields, two-handed weapons, javelins, bows and more.

New participants are always welcome! Simply stop by one of our events and sign a waiver, and you’re ready to fight. Gear and instructions will be provided. Not ready to fight just yet? No worries, you’re also welcome to stop by and watch!
